NEW!
Following a lengthy selection process, the Township of Ramara retained CCTA to act as Township Engineers under a five year contract commencing in the spring, 2008.
Following a formal selection process, CCTA was retained by the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to update the Town’s Water and Wastewater Master Servicing Plans to reflect their 25 year growth predictions. This cornerstone study will follow the planning process set out for Phases 1 and 2 in the MUNICIPAL CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT. A number of important factors will be carefully considered in this work, including water quality implications to Lake Simcoe in light of constraints identified by the Ministry of the Environment, the feasibility of obtaining additional potable water supplies from groundwater sources and from adjacent municipalities’ water supply systems. The studies will proceed during the implementation of Simcoe County’s Growth Planning Strategy.
Infrastructure renewal continues at "full steam ahead" throughout the areas we serve.
In the Town of Collingwood Contracts 4 and 5 are now underway. Their completion will constitute the end of the $15 million Phase 1 of Collingwood's ambitious program to replace aging and failing sanitary sewers, some of which were installed over 100 years ago.
In the City of Barrie CCTA was entrusted with the design of improvements to Mapleview Drive, easterly from Welham Road, for about 900 m. This section will be widened to seven lanes. With a construction value of $7.0 million, completion of this key project is anticipated before Christmas, 2008. We were recently entrusted with the design of a trunk water transmission main which will improve levels of service in the Anne/Cundles Street area with a connection to the elevated tank at Bayfield Street. Construction will get underway in May, 2009.
In the District Municipality of Muskoka CCTA was retained to redesign about 1.4 km of Muskoka Road 25, northerly from Brackenrig Road. Construction is just under way on this $1.8 million project. Design is now well advanced on the redesign of an improved Muskoka Road 50, from Muskoka Road 4 easterly to Highway 11. Construction of this $7.0 million project is expected to proceed next year.
