C. C. Tatham & Associates Ltd. (CCTA) is the home
of civil engineering in South-Central Ontario. We link solid experience with skill and innovation, for effective solutions.
Incorporated in 1988, we recently celebrated our 20th anniversary of operation. We value our clients and take great pride in the work that we do for them.
Many consulting engineering firms in Ontario (and across Canada) have been bought out/acquired by a small number of huge, multi-national corporations. Not us! CCTA is a strong, healthy, autonomous, employee-owned practice. Our marching orders and key decisions don’t originate in some office two or three time zones away.
Our 75 permanent employees live, work, and play within a stone’s throw of the clients we serve. We are active participants in community life, and generous supporters of local institutions.
We work continuously at maintaining solid relationships with businesses, communities, and government agencies. Our specialties encompass:
INTERESTING NEW PROJECTS
Collingwood Area Road Improvements
CCTA was successful in winning the Collingwood Area Road Improvements projects in a competitive proposal selection process. We will provide engineering design and construction services for approximately 10 km of roads within Stayner and Collingwood, including the very first roundabout to be implemented in Collingwood.
The Stayner project (also referred to as the Stayner Bypass) will see the reconstruction of Sideroad 27/28 from County Road 7 to Highway 26 - a distance of 2.6 km, and will accommodate a design speed of 100 km/h.
The Collingwood project will encompass the reconstruction of Poplar Sideroad from the new Highway 26 alignment (at which there will be a roundabout designed by others) to the 10th Line, and the reconstruction of the 10th Line from Poplar Sideroad to 6th Street, a total distance of 7.8 km. The roundabout will be located at the T-intersection of Poplar Sideroad and High Street.
The total construction value is estimated to be in the order of $12 million. Construction is expected to begin in May, 2010.
Lefroy Reservoir and Booster Pumping Station
CCTA has been selected by the Town of Innisfil to undertake a Class EA planning process and then the detailed design for a proposed water storage reservoir and booster pumping station at the community of Lefroy. The reservoir will have a volume of about 5,600 m³. This project represents a continuation of our long standing involvement in developing Innisfil’s Lakeshore water supply and distribution system.
Collingwood Sanitary Sewage Collection System Renewal, Phase 2
CCTA has been selected by the Town of Collingwood to complete the preliminary and final design, construction inspection, and contract administration in support of second phase of Collingwood’s sanitary sewer renewal program. CCTA successfully completed the first phase of the project between 2005 and 2009, which involved the renewal of approximately 8.5 km of sanitary sewers under five contracts worth a total over $15 million.
The Phase 2 work involves approximately 5.1 km of sanitary sewer which will be renewed under a three year program.
